I Won but We Lost!

On my previous blog entry, I mentioned about me and the loving Mr. Bottle's war for our Saturday's date.

Here it goes:

We were supposed to meet up at around 2pm. But I informed him that I haven't slept because I came from the previous night's shift. Since he's a natural good man (he's the good man and I am the boner hahaha), he let me rest for the mean time. Zzzz Zzzz...

He arrived in my pad at around 6pm, and woke me up with a sweet kiss (how could I resist Mr. Bottle's kiss? Tell me how to resist a kiss from a spouse who had a billboard along edsa, and have been a face of some phone cards. Those eyes, lips, and sweet touch, Irresistible).

I have a faithful, loving spouse but we're late for our date.

I won but we lost!

We arrived in Glorietta at around 7:30pm (good thing my pad's like a few blocks away from the ever famous Glorietta). We're now starving. Yes we're normal Pinoys and as you know if a couple or a group is hungry and wonders "where to eat?" the typical answer would always be "Ikaw, Kahit Saan" (anywhere). It's a never ending Question and Answer until someone decides. In this case, it was me who made the decision (punyeta I'm starving big time!).

I literally grabbed his hand and dragged him to Avenetto. Yes, the famous jampacked Avenetto. We didn't know what we really wanted to eat but the thought that we both are really hungry made us decide to order whatever we see first.

My white flag goes to Puttanesca Pizza and the wild card goes to Seafood-Nut Pesto. When the food was served our main goal was to eat like pigs and get out of it as we are catching the next movie. After a food race match we suddenly realized that what we had are both oil based. Not a good combo. Good thing I have a reliable Evil-Deadly-Stick (Marlboro Menthol) to wipe away that yucky oily sensation.

Mr. Bottle respects me as a man and follows my decision but we had a heart-clogging-near-to-death-experience-meal.

I won but we lost!

After the near-to-death-experience, we went straight ahead to G4 (Glorietta 4) to watch a movie. It was around 8:15pm and the next film would start at 8:30pm. And guess what the movie is? The Passengers (Anne Hathway! I Love you!). We're just right on time (good thing we ate like pigs). I was really excited 'coz first it is my idol who's playing the lead role, and second it's a suspense flick. While waiting for my turn to get tickets, I was looking at 'The Passengers' poster and to be honest it looked cheap. But I have high hopes on the movie despite the review it had from 'some' websites. My fingers were crossed. My toes too!

To cut the f*cking story short, the f*cking movie started and the f*cking movie ended just like 'that' (snapped my finger). I was shocked that the people were already leaving the big dark room and the next thing I knew, it's done. Over. I had high hopes my dear Anne! Yes you are very talented and you've shown how sexy you are on that f*cking movie but why did you f*cking accepted the f*cking role! It was dragging, boring and there were no suspense not even a bit! At all! It was melodramatic, non-sense and very predictable. I have to tone down now. My blood pressure's increasing. Yes, the critics are all correct! It was awful.

Despite the ugly movie, I still Love Anne Hathaway. We didn't enjoy the movie though.

I won but we lost!

After the uhmm, what movie was that again?, we decided to get boozed up. It was Saturday and Mr. Bottle wanted to drink alcohol. We went to the not-so-new-but-still-hip Temple Bar. While we were sitting, I lighted a smoke, checked the bar list, and ordered a bottle of my favorite wine. The attendant came back just to say: 'Sir, ubos na po eh, sparkling nalang meron'. (Sir, there's none left. We have Sparkling as an altrenative). No! So we just decided to leave Temple and went straight ahead to A.venue. We were checking on a cozy place in the area. 360 had a function, we are under dressed for Bureau, and too over dressed to stay at the Night Bazaar. So we just shopped around until we reached Attica Bar. And yes, I fell in loved with the bar the moment I saw it. It is so cozy that it instantly replaced Tiananmen in my heart. The music they play were like songs from Embassy and Cuisine, solid! Wow! And what made me love it so much is the alcopops they serve. They all go in macho size which serves 4-6. We had a Macho Frozen Margarita and shockingly, it is really macho! Why? Imagine a margarita glass, the tall one, 50x bigger. Its width is about the size of a big dinner plate just like of what's in Kitchen (the resto), and its length is like from foot to knee, inclusive of the stem of the glass ofcourse. I'm not kididng. And for just Php 800.00, it's not bad! And did I say it is really strong? Yes! It is strong. I am so inviting my bestfriend Leila in Attica one of these days. She'll love it there. Anyway, after that huge Margarita, we went off to Club Gov, it's just accross Attica. Good thing I have my guest list there so we just went straight ahead, grabbed a couple of beers and finnished our night drunk-dancing.

Mr. Bottle and I had a blast. We really enjoyed our saga. Ofcourse, we're both drunk, we played reyp reypan ( the Rape game ) back home.

We both won and finnished the game. Haha! Fool you!

You should probably watch out for Anne's next movie with Kate Hudson, Bride Wars.

I think that movie is definitely worth seeing. =)

(I think my previous comment was not saved so I'm reconstructing it.)

Haha! What an account of an enjoyable date.

Avenetto! I never thought they have a branch at Glorietta. The old branch I know is at Visayas Avenue in Quezon City where I used to hang-out as a college kid. Haaay, I must be really getting old.

Temple! So it is still alive. Trivia: Doc M and I had our first date there more than 5 years ago. Fond memories.

Tiannanmen Square! Bad vibes. I used to cry there at the bar with a beer bottle in tow. Huhuhu! I know the owner's nephew.

Thanks for linking! :)

@Dexter: hey! yup I'm actually looking forward to see it. Passengers made me sick. It made me so sick I almost died. =) miss you my friend!

@Jake: yup there's one in Glorietta. It's somwhere in G3, so if you go out at the power books/tower records exit, just turn left, there's a strip of restos there. One of 'em is Avenetto. And yes, Temple is still alive. Bunch of kids though.

I used to get drunk at T bar also. Not a bottle but bottlessss...
